What can I say, except it’s been a busy two months. The nickel tour: last February I blew out my knee (I swear it was the squats), completed six weeks of rehab, and got a clean bill of health from my ortho last week. Understanding from my doctor that I’ll never run again, I promptly took up swimming and, six sessions later, can now claim to be more than simply buoyant in the water. My personal trainer told me last week that he was leaving me (OK, me and 25 other clients) to start a fight-themed gym in Phoenix. And this past Saturday, spring finally arrived in the city. I lost ... and regained my cooking groove. Moved up a jacket size (and ironically, down a jeans size). Cut my hair. Short. Cleaned out my closets and pantry of clothes and appliances better donated than kept. And I’m looking at the next nine months and thinking “bring it!” Giddy-up, change is good.
